Library

The Allen Terrace library was built with the vision of the late Housing Commissioner Ray (Butch) Casterline.  It was his goal that Allen Terrace residents would have access to a wide variety of reading material on site.  With the help of the Northville Kiwanis Club, Butch led the effort to create the Allen Terrace library.  The Northville District Library works with the Housing Commission to see that Butch's dream is kept alive.  After Commissioner Casterline's death in 2004, the Commission renamed the Library "The Butch Casterline Memorial Library" in his honor.  The Northville District Library regularly updates the collection for the residents' enjoyment.
